Maybe it's just old age and reduced mental capacity, but wasn't De Bernardi a well respected Italian frame sometime in recent past? Are their frames any good ?

I have the lugged track bike from Debernardi. I love the frame, and my buddy who has the multispeed version loves his. Paint, however, is not the strong suit. breathing heavily may induce chipping of the very pretty candy apple paint on my trackie. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say about the bike. Well filed minimal Italian style lugs. Pretty stiff and very quick, like commuting in an F-16.

I was under the impression that they went under in the last year or so. The year after they switched away from the candy apple red for their fixies, at the time, the only reasonably priced lugged fixie.
