Lately when I try to search something I only get back a few recent threads.
Were some of the older threads deleted?

Search has not been working for over a week...the geeks are on it, courtesy of our very own cuda2k, but it must be a significant issue because it hasn't gotten fixed yet.

The Google search strategy offered by JunkYardBike is a fine alternative:

"[your search term(s)] site:bikeforums.net"

It works if you search by member name.

Should be fixed in the next day or two. Database issue that is time consuming to correct so they're scheduling it for when impact to users will be the lowest.

What can I say EH, I'm a slow learner. As long as I go fast on my bike.

I don't think it has anything to do with you being a slow learner, just that I look at the Forum Suggestions every once in a while to see if I can help answer questions, and have noticed quite a few people asking about this.

I am certain that just about everyone here in C & V is faster than I am, but I do go as fast as I can :D .

Because there's no 30-second lockout, or is Google's search engine better in some other way?

Why doesn't BF just use Google as the search engine?
