I did a search, but after about 4 pages I couldn't find a thread like this.

I am looking for recommendations on a new watch. So, this might be a good opportunity to show everyone yours and tell what you think about it. Post a pic, and let us know if you would recommend the watch to others.

Edit: I am currently looking at the Tissot T-touch, like this one but with a black rubber band. Anyone had any extensive experience with the T-Touch?

You don't need a better picture because you can tell it's one of those 8$ walmart watches. It works though. :D

I vote for Stacey's! :)

I've not worn a watch for about 6 or 7 years. It's liberating.

Booyah. Early 90s Timex Ironman. Takes a lickin', and, well, you know.

Third band. Second battery. Still gets the ladies and the prospective employers all atwitter.

Early 2000s Timex Ironman. The only time I use it is when I go running. And yes, it is Monday where I live.

There are clocks everywhere nowadays. I rarely even look at the clock on my phone except as a last resort.

It's really nice not having it staring you in the face all of the time, though.

I have had the Tissot Touch in titanium for a year or so. I really like it, the touch system is really cool. The altimeter, barometer, compass, and thermometer are cool features. Since i don't wear a 1000 dollar watch riding the those features are basically useless information when out on the town.

It is a little on the bulky side(thick) but not too bad. Some military style watches are really cool and also Citizens Eco drive aviation series are pretty nifty. I too don't like a really busy watch.

Don't let the timepiece nay sayers get to you. Any cyclist that enjoys using precision bike parts can also appreciate a precision time piece.
Let us know what you end up with.

Please, stop putting words in our mouths... No one said we didn't appreciate them, only that we didn't use them.

I stopped wearing watches after I saw what happened to someone near machine with a watch. I am so absentminded I could see it happening to me.

The only jewerly I wear is a wedding band - and it is very small.

I wish I was cool enough to pull off a pocket watch. My grandpa used to carry one with Braille on it because he was blind.

I tried going without a watch but found that no watch in the military doesn't work so well. I just kept looking at my phone which defeated the whole purpose.

I only where them at weddings. One was my great grandfathers, and the other was my grandfathers. The one out of focus is late 1800's. I wouldn't were them normally.

Yeah, I would only wear them for special occasions too. It's just so uncommon nowadays. And I'm no trendsetter.

Great watches, I think I might look at the Chase Durer as a possibility. This is the actual one I am looking at, with the rubber band and polished Ti bezel. Keep em coming, I am getting some great ideas.

My watch has copped alot over the years as you can see by the scratches. Still runs beautifully though.
ps. it came with a little bottle of EPO too. d(^o*)

I'm too cheap and clumsy to buy an expensive watch. Got one of these on ebay for about $45 shipped. Atomic, solar, stopwatch, timer, alarm, day/date...it even tells time!

c0urt

I seriously considered this watch, but the alarm feature was ponderous and clumsy. I need to change and set the alarm easily. Not so with this watch. The face was also too busy. Beautiful colors, case and band.

the sail hawk and the navi sail both set easier than the sky hawk.
the real push on the navi sail for me was the fact it had a time you set to start after a certain amountof time, like you could set the stop watch to start in five minutes.

It has a feature you can turn on so that at night you can raise your arm horizontal and rotate it a certain degree (like you normally look at a watch) and it automatically turns on the light.

Cheap Timex. I've had it for almost 20 years. It's needed a couple of new batteries and a couple of new straps...but it would probably have been cheaper to just buy new watches, instead.

I use a battered old cheap casio. It's scratched, had several batteries and a couple of straps but it is still the same watch.

I feel naked without a watch and it is very usefull so that I can make it to meetings and back from lunch on time.

Sorry for the crappy webcam pic but I can't be bothered using my crappy digital camera.:p
