Louis Garneau T-Flex.
THey are super stiff, pretty light, but have a flexible front so they work really well for run ups. The ratchet keeps them on really tight but opens up well even when clogged with mud. Mine look like this, but dirty:

after years of suffering I finally found a good internet deal on a pair of sidi dominator megas. can you say, "sweeeeet"? If you have wider than average feet these are the only way to go. We'll see how durable they'll prove to be.

Sidi Dominator
Great all around shoe. They are black for easy clean up, and look into the lorica version for a warmth advantage. They are great at not soaking up alot of water. The insole is designed specifically for that. The shoe Ive noticed also forms to your foot extremely well for break in. The durability seems decent, espicially for those toe foot drags. They also have spots for cleat studs, ratchets, and straps.

I noticed you have SPD cleats. I was wondering how long do they last before you have to replace them (especially when used off road in dirt and mud)?
Not trying to get off topic, but I got the Performance SPD cleats which were half the price of the Shimano brand but they look exactly the same. Does anybody know if the Shimano brand is better?

Sorry, my bad - it's an interweb picture. While I do have sidi srs shoes I would never, ever, use spd pedals.
It's time atac, powergrips or platforms for me, in order of decreasing preference.
