It was mine too, until I twisted my ankle wearing, of all things, cross training shoes. But I still do follow tennis (not as much as cycling though). First time in 12 years :D

I had no idea what the Davis Cup was until post #3.

I haven't cared about tennis since the time Ilie Nastase gave me and my brother-in-law tickets to his box at a clay court tournament in Cincinnati. We got to sit with his wife who was exceedingly gorgeous and very gracious.

Wish it were warm enough to go out and play some tennis.... :(

I think it is great news. Grew up in a tennis family, but I suck at it. Dad played some in college and is still playing and coaching in his 70's.

BTW, Bjorn Borg was the greatest player ever. Loved that two handed back hand.

Same holds true for all sports. Technology changes things. If everyone is playing with the same equipment, then the playing field is level.

Think about what you would be riding right now if not for technology. Not a pretty thought is it?:D

I miss my old Wilson Jack Kramer.

My father and brother both played Wilson Pro Staffs. I used a Bancroft Borg. Wood racquest and wood slalom water skis have an allure and mystique about them that their modern replacements can never hope to match.

I miss my old Borg Pro. I had the best backhand with that racket. It helped that I played hockey as a lefty and tennis as a righty. It made the backhand so natural.

wow I guess US tennis has come back quite a ways in the past 4-5 years. Kudos.
