to trick out ANY automobile

saving my pennies, starting now :0)
That actually is pretty spiffy. A bit too complicated for my tastes, but very clever and well done.

edit: I guess it was Bo and Luke Duke....D'oh! too many doobies during that time period I guess.

You have to wear the right pants for that too

The only pants I can recall in that show were worn by one Daisy Duke.

Kinda looks neat, but would you "really" spend all that dough just to make your car look neat? I'd rather have a spiffy new bike (or two).

I keep getting a 503. :(
I did, but hit refresh and it came up.
Then it came up without pics displaying...had to click individuals to see pics.

pretty sweet.
I've been into customizing cars and car shows for YEARS... and never seen that one before.
I would hope there is an emergency crank down somewhere. Colds winter morning, 4 year old battery, that could screw up your day big time.

That would be an excellent door for people with mobility problems who have trouble
getting around doors when exiting.

We would get "drivered" instead. It's less painful.

Not to the driver.
Most of the drivers around here would act like air bags...sort of...maybe lard bags to cushion the fall.
Its a cool concept... too much mechanical stuff to go wrong. Most car makers can't even make window motors or car lock actuators that last more than a couple years, much less a door that has to open and close precisely tens of thousands of times over the car's lifetime.
Maybe if I had a new Maybach (fat chance), it would go with it.
Like who?
You know....them Duke boys, Coy and Vance?
I'm loving that they tricked out a traveling insurance sales man's car.
I thought the same thing. A 90-something Mark VIII? Sheesh.
Some designs can't be improved upon. Take the wheel for example. It's very hard to beat round. Same goes with conventional door hinge and latch designs. They are simple and reliable and the best design available.
The only upside i could see to these as a cyclist is that if all cars were equipped, the risk of getting "doored" would drop to zero.

I am impressed that American ingenuity comes up with another great way to help empty our pockets. I will say the designer had enough insight to leave the rear view mirrors in place.
