What's the best way to Aurora from Madison?
Mapquest says 39 to 88, but I think 90 to US 31 looks a little shorter and easier.
South on 31 from 90 is pure torture. I'd go with the 39/88 route. If you are dead set on 90, go south on 47 and east on 30 if you must.

+1 - You may have your hills, but we have traffic. I personally would go 39. 47 has become a 2 laned mess. 31 is a nightmare. Randall is the only other route I would go and that too will take you forever, but I actually live within a mile or 2 of the 90 Randall interchange and I work in Aurora looking at I-88 and I take Randall as the route everyday.
I can do it in 25 minutes, but it's white knuckled.
