FFW has organized a ride for this saturday.

It starts at the montgomery ward building on 7th at noon....
We ride from there through downtown to your favorite bike shop, panther city bicycles, for a break and then on to the TCU area. From there we hit the trails and stop for some food at Fred's.
The whole ride is laid back and not set in stone.
For a rough map check this out

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1485491

round trip is around 10 miles, so not to bad.

This would be a great opportunity for a meet and greet.

Anyone interested, send me a message

For real people let's ride!

I'll be bringing my Haro. That one's better for street riding. I don't DARE jump off curbs on my Univega roadie.

Fixed Fort Worth.

It is a place for fixed gear riders to meet and connect. But all bikes are welcome. They don't discriminate.
Come out it will be laid back! here is their myspace address

Both my bikes work fine. They don't need fixing. :P

Wish I had a fixed. Still looking for a cheap frame to build. I'll most likely be there at noon on my dork roadie.

Cuda, good time for you to cross the county line??

Roadies are cool. I just prefer the feel of a fixed gear... I am running a new ratio

52X18 so i may be kicking myself later in the day.

Come out and have fun.

Gotta schedule DART busses and the TRE, but I'm in! Seems the meeting place is about 1/2 mile away from the main TRE/bus station, so will ride straight off the TRE.
Anybody else going from Dallas?

Off the TRE, find 7th (to the North), west on 7th to University. That's it, right? Mapped with Google and the T map.

the montgomery ward building is on the corner of 7th and carroll.

If you are taking the TRE get off the train and head north. I am not sure the name of the street by the train station. Anyhow, go north on that street and take a left on 6th street. Don't worry, riding in downtown FW is quite friendly and fun. About a half a mile down 6th st will become 7th st. Stay on 7th st for perhaps a mile and after you cross over the Trinity you will see the Montgomery Plaza building on the right. It is hard to miss it has a Target, Pei Wei, Radio Shack and Office depot. Take a right at that complex and you will find us. Please make the effort to ride with us. Next time we may come to the other side of DFW.
