Isn't it a cyclo-cross bike rather than a hybrid?
Halfords do not employ knowledgable staff that advise you on bike purchases. After sales service is not that Bright and on top of that You can get better deals from a local bike shop.
I recently looked at the boardman bikes for a friend of mine and actually got a test ride round the car par. I was not that impressed with the bike. It felt heavy and sluggish but could have been down to the pre delivery inspection. It just did not feel right for me or my friend. We then went and looked at Giants and Specialised. He finished up buying the Sequoia- the road version of the sirrus and he is busy training for next seasons weekend rides.
I dont like boardmans
thought theyed be trouble
was right
read the reviews first....
While Boardman sells exclusively to Halfords, his products wont be taken too sereiously. There's this thing about Halfords...
in every review i've read on them everyone loves them, the last one was in MBR and it scored a 10 out of 10
regardless of what bikes they sell, i would never want to buy from halfords.
just as mustang1 said, theres something about it.
much the same as me not wonting to buy from woolworths realy
I've not ridden one, it's just... they look ugly :(
Halfords are terrible for bikes and anything related to them. Their staff are often much much less knowledgable than can be reasonably expected and/or acceptable and the workmanship skills are non-existent.
A friend of mine bought his commuter MTB from there while we were at uni, even after I voiced my opinions (often). By the end of week two, I'd greased the stem bolts, clamp bolts, seatpost, tightened the cranks, sorted the indexing and other such stuff. He was made to wait a week while they "set it up" too!
Jokers.
That is all.
