Specialized brought their 2008 line of bikes out to a local trail today. It was an awesome experience, and I have gained a lot of respect for the company. They fit us and sent us out on the trail. We came back several times. I thought we were annoying them, but they assured us that they came to show off their line.
I test road the cadalac of mountain bikes S-Works Enduro SL on a trail that climbs for days. This bike made it seem like I was chilling on my lazy boy watching the world race by. It was awesome, but it was too comfortable. I need something rigid and nasty... + I don't have 7000 bucks:D
I rode a few other bikes. The one that really stole the show was the 29er stump jumper. That bike was simply amazing and not too costly.
So I'm bragging about all this stuff because the rep said that it was a new program with specialized. They travel all over the country doing shows like this. If you have a bike shop and actually want to test all the stuff you sell, you should email the company.
