Looks like it already struck!
Considering OSX is based on BSD, I'd like to see what can be done to exploit it. Apple would have to have ADDED things to make OSX insecure.
Warning: buying stock in AAPL may lead to a heavy wallet.
Apple's stock going up? It's truly a strange world we live in. I remember when Apple could have announced iCureForCancer at Macworld, and the stock would plummet. It was like some bizarro reverse world.
I always get to these things after the boom is over. I was watching google stock when it was $126 a share, but I didn't have money to buy in. I am an idiot.
Dell Market Cap: 55.3bn
Apple Market Cap: 165.7bn

Or Because BSD is one of the least used OSes/Kernels it would probably suffer the same fat that Linux and Mozilla and Apache has suffered.
the minute it ha 1/5 to 1/3 of a market share it bcomes as insecure as any other widely used counterparts
How is that? Even *NIX FS structure has been more secure than windows ever was. Linux is very secure, much more than Windows. Apache's vulnerabilities have been less severe and are fixed very quickly.
OpenBSD FTW. My mac usually spends most of its time with OpenBSD under parallels in full screen anyways. BSD, while it's one of the lesser in the marketshare, has one of the most mature, and most meticulously audited kernels in the industry.

If there is a security issue, its probably something added on, that, or some legacy stuff with NeXTStep. I've heard of very few holes with actual BSDs, assuming one doesn't install every single open port service known to man, woman, child, and beast.

Yep. I honestly wish it could fit my needs, but I'm too much of a desktop user. I loved FreeBSD as a server, except having to fix the ports database.

Apple would have to have ADDED things to make OSX insecure.Didn't they? (http://www.kernelthread.com/mac/osx/arch_xnu.html)
