My wife and I are considering moving to Seattle.
Does anyone have personal experience with using PODS during a move?
Since the trucks that haul the PODS don't use the same air ride suspension that moving trucks use, do you find that items get pounded and damaged?
Is the company easy to deal with?
Does the drop off/pick up and destination delivery process go relatively smoothly?

I can't give you first hand knowledge or any details, but my uncle moved my cousin (his daughter) back to Florida from California using PODS and I recall hearing they were happy with them. It's all 2nd hand, so take it with a grain of salt. I have no idea if she had much/anything fragile or any details.....I just know they were happy with them.

Don't leave Tucson! We love you here!
EDIT:
So, an essentially useless post... I'd check their BBB ratings and see what's there.
We used a POD to store our new kitchen cabinets during the kitchen demolition.
THe company was great to deal with. We left it in the driveway though, didn't have it hauled off for storage. But I would have no qualms about using the company.
I looked at them, here in Austin, they are relatively expensive, especially if you have one for a while, compared to renting a U-haul when you need to move stuff, and having a cheap 10x10 at some storage place.

I've used them extensively for storage while doing flood damage restoration work. They work, and they're convenient. I don't know about prices though, I never had to rent one myself.

I have heard negative stuff about them billing your credit card in
a wacky manner. I would check their record in your area.

My brother moved there recently. Same starting point as well.
