so what do you guys do to take care of your bikes throughout the winter? how/how often/what do you clean, lube etc...? i mostly ride fixed, so i don't have to worry about derailers, but i am worried about all of the salt taking its toll. also - is leaving the ride outside better than taking it in and out? i've been thinking if i don't want to clean it i should leave it outside so the ice doesn't turn into salt water, that will cause rusting. also, the rusting of metal has to be slower in the cold... right?

I hose down the drivetrain with WD-40 after every sloppy ride on my commuter rig. More thorough cleaning and proper lubrication as needed.
