I recently got back into biking after many years. I brought a new bike and visited a couple of bike forums to get educated. I asked a few questions and the people at Bike.Forums were kind enough to answer my stupid questions. Thanks, I hope in time I can return the favor to some newbie.

I was wounded in the knee in Vietnam and was told that biking could cause further damage. I had always enjoyed biking, never raced, just for fun. When I returned home I put my bike on hooks and there it stayed for almost 30 years. Last year, the doctor said my knee was completed healed, so I started biking again.

I ride around the lake on bike paths (10 miles around), I average about 60+ miles a week. I will probably increase in time.

I've got a 2003 LeMond Zurich, its a lot different from the 27" Schwinn I put on hooks years ago.
