I am looking to buy a light to night ride, what do you recommend? I am thinking that one mounted on my helmet might be best. I had a cygo dual lamp a couple of years ago that mounted to the handlebar. Thanks for the replies.

are you talking about riding off road and singletrack at night or just riding around streets?

with a one light setup, a helmet mounted light is definately the best option for off road.

a basic HID setup would be what I would reccomend but I don't know your budget.

I just purchased the Dinotte 200l.
Like it just fine. There is probably brighter, but this works great.
As an added bonus. it is MADE IN USA.

check it out HERE (http://store.dinottelighting.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=dinotte&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=353344142&Count2=270484566)

I'd recommend one for your helmet and another for your handlebar. Allows you to see what's ahead of you at all times and what's around the corner(or wherever you're looking). I have the NR MiniNewt X2 Duals on my bar and NR SolMate for my helmet. Both LED and provide terrific coverage and brightness.
