A reasonable light. For a start. Having some of the reflective gear they sell would be a good idea too. Go by an REI or other sporting goods store and find a similar LED light. Try it out, with your own batteries if necessary. Always best to try it first. Some of the very powerful lights mentioned here are only needed for high speed descents on bad trails or for dancing with heavy traffic at night. your light looks fine for back streets and bike paths.

For the money, not worth it. However long it took you to amass 50.00, do that again and then order a Niterider Trailrat from http://www.brandscycle.com. 99.00+free shipping. Believe me you will appreciate the wait AND the difference. Other than the Dinotte 200L(at almost twice the money) there isn't an LED headlight system that's worth a tinker's damn, I don't care how many bulbs they have. I'd write the typical IMHO disclaimer except my opinion isn't an opinion it's a fact. ;)

Cygolite's tridenX Li-ion might be an exception. Super bright LED that does more than any other. Yeah, it's expensive, but you can find it for $250 if you look hard enough.

Ignore the retro grouch and check out the electronics forum for info on lights, including some amazingly bright LED ones.
