In my search for things to add to my bike touring archive, I come across some interesting sites. Today, I found the Bicycle Adventure Club (http://www.biketouringtips.com/showTipComments.php?tipID=605).

This is a membership club ($50 first year/$25 thereafter) whose members plan tours all around the world. The tours have a luggage van and stay in motels/lodges every night. While the costs of the offered tours isn't cheap, it is much cheaper then the for-profit places and they have much more variety.

This looks like the kind of thing that a non-touring/camping spouse might be willing to do as a way to share the bike touring experience.

Has anyone every been on one of their tours?

Ray

Well, at least it's not the "Super Bicycle Adventure Club (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Return_of_Chef)".

raybo, I have not been on one of their tours, but I have met people who are members and speak highly of the club.

I would like to do a tour with them, but like you said, it's kind of expensive. When things settle down around here I'm going to try and set my own tour for the Texas Hill Country and the Fredericksburg area. I think I could do it for half the price. I would probably use them for other places I don't know to much about.
