I'll be in Tucson for a weekend in Feb for a weekend. It's too short of a trip to bring my own bike. Where's a good shop to rent a road bike?

Also, any recommendations for a reasonable ride, say 50 to 60 miles? I'm winter riding in Alaska now, so I won't be in shape to go much longer than that.

I'll be back in March for a week or so of riding to get a jump start on the season.

Thanks for your help. ;)

I was in Fairwheel bikes last Feb bemoaning the fact that I could not bring my bike from Wyoming and they said that I should have called them and they could have set me up with a bike.

Great shop and really nice to visitors!

Another one that rents good quality bikes: Cycle Tucson, owned/operated by longtime former bike shop owners Gary and Jesse Menard.
They now do strictly bike rentals and organize tours.

Contact 'em at cycletucson.com or call 520 245-6011.
Tell 'em that Rudy and Kay sent you!

A reasonable ride is to the Saguario National Park, many beautiful itineraries. Climbing moderate for Jan./Feb. weather conditions. For routes: check GABA.

Tucson Bicycles - at the time, I couldn't believe it was only $25 and that included a helmet! It was a decent Cannondale as well.
