So I went back to the LBS, because after my drivetrain was replaced I've been having all sorts of skippage. It basically boils down to.....at this point... (I haven't truly re-tested the ride after bringing it back, mind you, although a quick ride tells me maybe it has improved).......
That if I have any more problems, it must be due to either 1) the frame being bent or 2) the derailler (if you were to grab the bottommost part of it that the chain last leaves) being able to move laterally too much, causing skippage when torque is applied, or causing gears to change back and forth while riding with minimal torque
He tried seeing if the frame was bent, using some kind of tool that looked like a metal bar with an adjustable 'single claw' on one end...But he said since my bike doesn't have a continuous pole going from the seatpost, it is hard to tell whether or not the frame is bent.
I was wondering what kinda input you'd have on that comment he made.
Here's a picture, although you probably don't need it, but see how the seatpost doesn't go down, unlike a bike without rear suspension?
