Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - umm.. yeah. Can't type in all caps. WTF?

So here's a question. Has this "feature" been introduced at some time or what? I'm sure I remember being able to type a word in all caps at some time.

If some ass wants to yell and type their entire post in caps lock, let them. All they do is look like tits, and it doesn't happen that often.

But now this magic wonderful feature prevents those various times when one has good reason to type a word in all caps.

WTF people, can anyone explain this?

edit: so ok, I dunno, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Does it just look for when a whole post is in caps? Thus inadvertently borking any attempts at a one-word reply that needs to be in caps, or an acronym?

If you try to do the entire post in caps, the filters won't allow it. Been that way for probably forever, certainly at least a few years.

I mean every post without exception.
