Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. OK, fine, I've done a quick search on smooth or treadless tires. All I can find is tha they are a good idea. Even Jobst Brandt and his ilk did not say where to order some. Vredestein, Performance, Kenda and others; nada in the 700 x 32 and up size range. I had a friend say he and others shaved the bumps off of several sets of tires for a RAAM racer. Pass. Any suggestions?

I used to run Avocets in that size, and I liked them, though they seemed very susceptible to aging--they dried out and cracked way earlier than other tires of the time. Haven't seen road slicks in 700 in quite awhile, though. If you're not determined that they be ABSOLUTELY treadless, try Rivendell Roly Polys or Ruffy Tuffys (http://www.rivbike.com/products/list/tires_tubes_pumps_patches#product=10-034). I have RTs on my Rambouillet. The little tread squares are shallow and I doubt they make any difference--as Grant said, they're just there to satisfy people who think they need tread.

Schwalbe Kojak (true slick) and Marathon Slick (almost slick)?
[both say 700x35]
Also note: the N. American distributor sells online, if you can not find them locally.

Continental Sport Contact. They are available locally in several large bike shops. They wear like iron and are quite puncture resistant. 70-85 psi.
