I use the Edge 305 when I ride my trainer, and noticed that in my temp. controlled workout room, I get climb/descents of 200-300 ft/hour of riding. I haven't noticed any cold fronts coming through the room or my floor moving to the basement and back... makes me wonder about the accuracy of the barometer. Any ideas?. I've had no issues with it in almost a year of many outdoor miles, but maybe this is it's first??
It might be the A/C or furnace blower coming on and off. It would be interesting to look at the profile of your ride afterwards, and see if it makes little small steps up and down, or what.

There's your answer. It's designed to operate outside and you'll get fluctuations, especially when inside with heat/air-conditioning.

It actually is making small 1-2 ft up and down grade changes every 1/8th mile or less and a very jagged elevation change that gradually rolls up and down . It's not by any means a smooth curve.

Might make sense, but I turn the heat way down while I ride, and it never kicks on. Guess I'll call garmin
