I wonder how much it weighs? From the decals, it looks like late sixties/early seventies vintage.

I used to own a Schwinn Twinn from about that era. Mine weighed around 60 pounds but didn't have top tubes or the front hub brake. I'm guessing this bike is going to run around 90 pounds.

I wonder how it rides and how flexy that frame is from front to back.

Ask the seller.... my guess, more than 100 lbs!

Bikes worth at least $5000

Based on what data/comparisons I wonder?

I wish I could find a place to live in this guy's happy la-la land.

As an auction house owner recently noted, having only one collector who "must have" something is good for the bidder and bad for the seller. What you need to have are at least two collectors who "must have" something as that's when things can get interesting.

As for this particular bike, if I was a collector with an eye for rare Schwinn bicycles I've got to think that this is perhaps one of the more rare Schwinn's to roll out of the Paramount works in Chicago and it looks to be all original and in very good condition. It will be interesting to see if anyone ups the ante.

Frankly, if I owned a bike shop I'd probably go for it just to hang on the wall and to pull down for parades.

What you need to have are at least two...

Indeed. With open bidding it is the second highest, not the high bidder, that establishes the selling price.

That's a prett neat looking bike! I'm not sure how practical it would be - but I do think it would cool in a bike store!!

Spotted a triple here- not too common, either:

I thought it was very cool, just not near $5k worth of cool. Apparently no one else did either.
