Hi all,

I have narrowed my search for a tri bike down to three bikes, based on price, looks, etc

Cervello Dual Ultegra
Felt s32
quintana roo kilo

I have rode the cervello and the felt, both ride nice. The quintana roo I have no rode but have heard good things about, and saw a good deal online.

One more question, I followed the fit guideline of inseam multiplied by .67 for fram size. I am 6ft about 220lb. 32 inch inseam. Following this it recomends 54cm frame. Seems small to me. I think I would go with a 56cm. Let me know what you think

I'm 6'2" 225, 34 bike inseam, ride a 58 Dual. The thing about tri bikes is you will see guys riding all sorts of sizes depending on how steep they want to ride and the different geometries of the bikes. I would think you would be fit fine on a 56, especially given the flexibility you get with both the Dual and the S32 with their reversable seat post positions. A couple of years ago I had the S25, it had a more slack geometry then they are selling now. As it goes now, Dual vs. S32, I would pick the color you like most. Actually I would look at the build and wheels and choose the best value, but they aren't far apart.

i vote for the cervelo dual -- better components/wheels and a better ride -- i own one and tested all three

and always go for the smallest size you can ride... less weight = faster time

i was going to get the dual until they tempted me with a p2c... i'd say get the dual... my second choice would be the roo

+1

I'm 183cm (~6'1") 33.8" inseam and ride an aggressive position on a 52cm Cervelo P3...

Very general rule of thumb is to go down a size from your rode bike (i.e. if you ride a 56cm road bike, go a 54cm tri bike)

I'd recommend the Cervelo only because TT/Tri frames is something they do very well at.

See the chart at http://tinypic.com/43ggqhu.jpg which gives the aspect ratio's of various frames. The Cervelo’s are all near the top of the list...

If that chart does anything, it confirms the fact that I need a hooker:eek:
