Got out skiing yesterday, and the day before, snowshoeing before that, skiing later today... :D
We have been taking advantage of this storm, the powder above 8000' is pure heaven. 2 - 3 feet of powder, depending on what mountain your playing on.

Thank you! The pics tell the story! We had a great wedding day :D
I'm spending a lot more time taking pictures, just started to play with HDR techniques, its really fun. I think its a better way to capture story telling pictures:

(still watermarked, need to pay for the software...)
HDR images look really interesting, but I haven't looked into the process much. As I understand it, though, it's something you can do in a photo editor like Photoshop. Of course, if you don't have Photoshop, the software in question is probably cheaper. :)

*nod* I have been playing around in Photoshop and creating HDR images from a single RAW. The process isn't too bad, but it takes much longer then using the Photomatix software. I think I like the Photomatix results better as well.
If I had more RAW photos to work with, I would spend more time playing with photoshop, but 99% of my photos were recorded as high quality JPG's.

The only thing HDR does for me is screw with my framerates and make it hard to see what I'm shooting at: HDR Rendering (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_rendering).

I've never bothered much with RAW, being that the last time I checked, the selection of RAW tools for Linux was pretty sparse. I'll have to look into it again.
[edit: Also, a 2GB card will hold over 500 JPGs, but only 160 RAW+JPG. :p]

That should give you some practice reading Spanish. :D
Welcome back Joe.

MINAE is the Ministry of the Environment. We caught some people poaching logs from the park and reported them to MINAE - they are really happy with us right now!
I hate poachers! The community is happy with us too.
