If you want opinions on how the bike rides, you may have to wait a while (or you can post in the Road forum where there's more traffic). Calfee is a boutique brand and I'm guessing that they sell less frames in a decade than Trek sells in a month. If it fits you and is in pretty good condition, I'd say $500 is a good price. Calfee has a good reputation among those who appreciate well-constructed carbon frames.
Generally speaking, it's not good to own a bike that you only use on race days. You need to train on it if you want to race well on it.

I love my Calfee Tetra Pro road bike. I was sorely tempted by a Calfee Tri frame I saw on eBay before I won my Cervelo.
Craig Calfee is an easy guy to talk to. If you have questions or concerns, call the shop.
I can't see the first post in this thread, so I don't know what the questions is/was.
