Tandem Cycling - Packing S&S Equipped Travel Tandems

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I noted in the "what do you ride" postings that at least one of you has recently taken delivery of a new Santana Sovereign S&S travel tandem; congrats. We LOVE our S&S tandem and if we had to do it over again we would have had the couplers added to our first custom tandem. Live and learn, eh?
Maybe this is being over presumptuous of me (I always assume the worst), but if you haven't taken time to practice packing your tandem you might want to do so well in advance of your travels. If you purchased your travel tandem with Santana's over-sized cases and the pre-cut foam inserts then none of this information will be necessary.

Anyway, having gone through the learning process I'll leave you with a link to some information and photos that may or may not be of help in advance of your first trip with your travel tandem:
This web page illustrates how our tandem goes into it's two travel cases:
