Foo - Know any good web hosting sites?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking to build my own investing forum. I'll probably use phpBB software since it's free and widely used. I'm undecided on hosting sites though. I found a site with a breakdown of their top 10 hosting services. http://web-hosting-review.toptenreviews.com/
Globat.com came up number 1. They offer 1 free year of hosting with a mail-in rebate, which would make total cost on the year come out to about $33 or something. What should I be looking for in a hosting service?
TIA. Matt
I am probably going to use dyndns.com and move all my websites back to my IIS machine on my DSL. The provider I use for one, Yahoo, irked me to no end by sticking Javascript on my pages.
An example:
<!-- text below generated by server. PLEASE REMOVE -->
<!-- Counter/Statistics data collection code --><script language="JavaScript" src="http://us.js2.yimg.com/us.js.yimg.com/lib/smb/js/hosting/cp/js_source/geov2_001.js"></script><script language="javascript">geovisit();</script><noscript><img src="http://visit.webhosting.yahoo.com/visit.gif?usxxxxxxx" alt="setstats" border="0" width="1" height="1"></noscript>
Yahoo has a clear privacy policy on that, so they are doing nothing unethical, but I don't want *any* third parties between my website and my website's viewers. I pay for my website's costs out of my pocket, do not accept donations, and will not have ads.
Guess when Windows Server 2008 goes GA, I'm going to be taking advantage of its virtual hosting features, as well as multiple SSL keys, because I want all my websites to be viewable via SSL.

I deal with two hosts, www.mediatemple.com and www.surpasshosting.com. Surpass is a good low cost host, and media temple provides excellent service, including 24/7 phone support. So I use mt for important business sites, and surpass for the run of the mill. mt is sort of a darling of the flash design community also.
