Interested, but not committed yet. I'm wondering how my brain will react to seeing the bottom of Stunt road at mile eighty something... All I know is, if I commit, I got dibs on last place :)

I'm interested, maybe not enough to register for it, though

What about M.E.? Happytime is doing it, so can you. Besides this is the first step on your way to your KOM jersey.

Ok, I registered, there doesn't seem to be any conflicts, although I doubt I'll do BA.

I haven't registered yet, but I am totally committed . . . or should be soon. However, I plan to ride Mulholland and Heartbreak as doubles. I'm pretty sure I can do this and get both CA Triple Crown and KOM points.

Am I wrong?

I've never ridden either Mulholland or Heartbreak, so those will be big (Huge?) challenges. I've ridden BA in 2005 and 2006, so no real worries there.

Plus, I'm riding Butterfield and Spring Solvang doubles (both of which I've done before) as training for Mulholland.

Rick,

The ride counts for both TC and KOM points, and where the century riders have certain times to make the checkpoints the only time you have to worry about is finishing within the double century time limits.

What about me?

I'm still considering it and I have until January to register. But I'm not sandbagging. If I ride it, I'm beating all your butts up the hill and laughing at you when you arrive.

Okay....all of you EXCEPT Brandy. :p:D

Are you riding the century up there or racing? The century is incredible and I recommend it to anyone. It goes through Carmel Valley and the hills there are stunning.

Did you do KOM last year? If not, well, Keith has a jersey.... (he says, fully trying to bait VM into something, but knowing Vance is still too smart for that old trick...)

If you work a few Planet Ultra events, the prices become a lot more reasonable :).

I did do it last year. And as Rick mentions, if I can squeeze a couple volunteer sessions in, I will do it again this year.

You get to be on the 'short list' by completing the KOM as a double version... although I am thankful that I do not have to do another 85 miles at the end of BA!

Signing up to volunteer for Butterfield, and then I'll register for the Mulholland and Heartbreak doubles... again... :D

Hi,

Fortunately, the Cyclo-Vets Omnium is on the same weekend. I've never done that race before and I did Mulholland last year. Since I prefer to do things on the bike that are fun, I'll race instead of torturing myself. ;) A very long way of saying NFW. :D

I think I will do all three KOM events again. I liked doing these centuries last year. I am thinking about doing the doubles this year, as part of my training for the Furnace Creek 508 in October. Assuming of course that I can put in the necessary miles...

If I were to do something like that, I'd probably go down to the turn off on Topanga about 1/2 up the hill. Y'all were moving too fast on the flats by my place.

I really think I'm going to give it a go. I think I'd rather try and fail than not try at all.

This is my first time doing this ride. I heard it is quite difficult. I have some serious training to do.
