Hey, I'm not a big poster in the MTB forum so forgive me if this has been covered.. the search feature is bonkers.

I'm considering a custom wheelset for my Lemond Poprad Disc cross bike. I was thinking of Chris King but Industry 9 stuff looks great.

For those who have ridden both, how would you compare the two?

My bike uses 130 mm (road) rear spacing with disc so that's the tricky part since most MTB wheels are 135 mm rear.

I was thinking of getting the 700c Ultralight from I9 (http://www.speedgoat.com/product.asp?part=119639&cat=360&brand=1123), as a reference point.

Looking at the Speedgoat pricing, you may want to contact Larry at Mountain High Cyclery to get some better quotes.

Your bike is so cool, it can trackstand by itself

I currently run Kings on my cross bike and I9s on my mountain bike.

The I9s offer quicker engagement and haven't required any repeated tightening (adjusting cones) like the Kings.

They are both good hubs. The I9 spoke/hub system is just different than traditional hub/spoke combos.

Holy smokes, the I9 is quicker than CK, huh? I wouldn't have suspected that. How does the noise compare, Pete?
