I was cleaning Sacha yesterday and it occurred to me that we are a lot alike:
• Smaller-than-usual frame
• We both dress in black
• Italian accessories
• Obnoxiously loud when freewheeling
• Loves to pose at coffee shops
• Asian manufacturing with American branding
• Light weight because of size, but still has room to lose another pound
How are you similar to your bike?
:p

My bike and I:
- are usually very dirty but clean up well
- kind of off-color
- a little on the heavy side
- very dependable except in extreme weather conditions
- should be lubed more often
- only like experienced hands and a big tool when being serviced
- like big bags hanging down and preferably packing something impressive
- enjoy being next to Sacha
- should be ridden more often

Hmmmm, my trusty old Schwinn.
-Lots of scars
-Heavy by cycling standards
-Been in lots of crashes
-makes noise when going up hills
-Hangs out in the garage
-American made but with parts from all over the world
-Old world
-Old Skool
-Heavier than the current average (OK, I'm fat)
-Classic (or vintage), not modern, understated
-Lots of double-takes from on-lookers (good for the bike, bad for me)
-Shiny and clean

I have so many bikes, does that mean that I have multiple personalities?
Some of our qualities:
Vintage...silver...fast...dependable...well-lubed...
Useful...European...can carry a lot...sometimes lit up...flashy
Likes mountains...strong...steely
Loopy...American...ding dong
has moustache...............bars :D

Let's see...
- Bigger than average, but whatever
- Mostly very quiet, but occasionally gets a little squawky
- Handsome but not classic-ly sexy
- Can go fast, but prefers the long haul at reasonable pacing
- Penchant for excessive electronic gadgetry
- Thick wall tubes
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Flip it...it's what the ladies prefer.
I'm like my bike thusly:
I'm black.
I'm nude.
I'm carbon based.
I don't respond well when cars hit me.
I, too, am a pain in my ass.
I spend too much time in the garage.
/only a few of these might be true.

old
scratched
homemade
good descender
You forgot:
sleek
hard as steel
likes it dry with little ice and then only the good stuff
can be ridden for hours without needing any adjustments (or so I'm guessing)
:D
EDIT: Hey! Why'd you delete it?

Able to ridden for extended periods and still able to withstand a lot of weight on top.
Pretty Color.
Not the best looking of the bunch but still able to get the job done.
- Skinny but strong.
- Nothing fancy.
- Very simple, yet aesthetically pleasing.
- Relatively lightweight.

Ditto to the above, and also,
-folds fast and easy to fit in tight spaces
-is totally fine being stuck in weird positions in weird places
-rolls when folded
-slow as heck unless you pump hard
-gets attention from random people because of overall weirdness
-gets asks "how much is that" by random people

Well, you're able to ride long distances and...um...you'd probably cost a great deal to repair. :o

-Sluggish in the cold
-the obligatory oversized tubes, stiff, responsive, and other assorted innuendo

Honestly? Very little. Aluminum is toxic for one thing, so naturally I have none of that in or on me. Painted up and positioned under someone while being sweated over and steered about,.. hmm, that's not me either. Um, how about requires inflating from time to time? Don't we all? Too generic. I do have plans to upgrade and improve it over time, and that's kinda been my personal M.O. through life, so there is that similarity. I know - the seat feels good to the touch. :p

My bici is nothing like me. She's smooth and curvy, graceful and stylish, fast and furious, responsive and forgiving. Che bella machina!! :)
My bike and I are both Too SEXY! that is why we love each other...

Are you sure (http://web2.iadfw.net/uthman/elements_of_body.html)?
Correction: My bike (frame) contains approximately 7 lbs of aluminum while my body is comprised of about 60mg of aluminum, or 2 thousandths of an ounce ;), so we don't have that in common. Additionally, medical reports (http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic113.htm) and nutritionists (http://www.vitawise.com/Nutritional_Healing/aluminum%20toxicity.htm) state AL is among the more toxic of elements to ingest, breath and absorb ABOVE a set absorption and elimination rate standard within the human body, with established evidence linking aluminum toxicity to a number of illnesses and diseases.

I don't think I'm like my bike in anyway.
My bike likes to be on the bottom all the time.
My bike is always stiff in all the right places.
My bike never complains no matter how steep the hill is.
My bike dosn't need carbs, calories, electrolytes or sleep to ride well.
As a matter of fact, if my bike were a human, she'd be the ultimate chic. She'd always laugh at my jokes and wouldn't mind my singing. She'd always be lubed up and tight and ready for action. My bike looks great no matter the time of day or lighting situation. And my bike likes it when I put Ice Wax...you know the thick, white, semi-transparent stuff on her chain.
