Hey guys. I am in the market fo a new bike I have little cash and have it narrowed down to2 bikes I found on the web.
I like both the Leader & Motobecane both go for about $1,000.00. I have debated just buying a leader frame and build it up with my current stuff. I have 2 nice road bikes a Titanium Eddt Merckx all ultegra 8 speed and c-DALE CAD 3 FRAME also all 105. 8 speed...I could build it cheap but think that for the extra couple hundred I'll get new 9 & 10 speed stuff.
Anyone here ride either bike? bikesdirect.com leaderbikes.com
Thanks

Sell the house and buy a BMC Time Machine TT01.

I recently did similar research and what I can comment on is that you have people saying good and bad about both. Leader supposedly fixed the issues on frame mentioned about finish and cut out.

The BD bike is a good deal for the components it comes with and is an older Fuji Aloha frame.

I am looking as some slight used Aloha's now as I do not have wrench skills to build.

You can't go wrong with the Schwinn Prologue for the price. I have mine set up as a TT bike and rode my fastest 40K TT at 0:56:05.

I do recommend lighter wheels, however.

Thanks for the info onthe Schwinn Prologue It is the first I heard of it....seems tobe a good deal, parts middle tolow grade how ever I have grat wheels already and can easily swap out the cheap brakes to my Ultegras or black 105's, everything else is decent

Or a leftover Cervelo Dual or a Felt S32 in that range.

Inside Out Sorts online has a the DuraAce10 Dual at $1,400 right now, if you take size 56 or 58. No better deal available on any new tribike.
