In January I will be starting a 3.5 month cycle tour of Chile and Argentina - my first tour! I already know that I will need to take along a bunch of gear to keep me rolling, like extra tubes and patch kit, brake and gear cables, brake pads, some chain links, a spare foldable tire and extra spokes (how many?) for my 700cm wheel, and some lube.
Am I forgetting something?
And now, what tools will I need to bring along? I already have a multi tool similar to the Pedro ICM, this one: http://www.filzer.com/products.php?id=77.
However, to change the spokes the guys in the bike shop tell me that I will have to remove the cassette, and for that I will need a cassette lock ring tool, a chain whip, and an adjustable wrench. I am trying to not carry anything more than I need to, so is there another tool that will replace these?
Any other tools I need?
Thanks in advance,
-Frank-
