Mountain Biking - Whats your favorite Schwalbe tire??

Just picked them up as an 08 sponsor for XC racing. I've never used their tires and see several that look like good singletrack tires. Anyone that has used them before, what do you recommend??

I'm running a nobby nic on the front of my bike. Its an awesome front tire, but not so good for the back. I've got a 2.4 on the front of my rigid bike, and a 2.25 on the front of my hardtail. They roll really fast for how big they are, and they can take pretty low pressure as well.

Their tires are awesome! I was sponsored by them for the 2007 season. For faster, drier, less technical courses the Racing Ralph is the best tire out there. For a little rougher or muddier courses the Nobby Nic is simply amazing. For courses in between go with the Nobby Nic on the front and the racing ralph on the back.

Unless it is just deep mud these two sets of tires will be all that you need. I was never dissapointed in them. Also, I ran them with Stans and never had a problem until I was out riding a couple of weeks ago and slit a sidewall.

I ran a Nobby Nic on the rear of my Nomad for a while, hooked up really well, although what I was using it for, was not was it was designed for, ripped about a dozen knobs off.

I love the Big Bettys, might pick up another pair for my new wheelset.

What LowCel said, pretty much nailed it in terms of XC tires from what I have heard around.

I was running the Nobby Nics for both the front and back and really enjoyed them. I thought they were good all purpose tires. They are relatively light and are also narrow for their stated size. The sidewalls are a little thin so watch out for any areas with sharp rocks or stuff that may cut the sidewall.

The racing ralphs are a whole new design and look to be the cats *** for sure. The smart sams look pretty kickazz too so I'll be ordering 2 full sets of each...:D

I like the Big Betty up front with either an Albert 2.25 or Fat Albert 2.35 in the rear. Great all around combination.

The misinformation here is incredible.

You are allowed to ride with a wired bead on the front and a kevlar bead on the back. You can even do the opposite.

At times I think that gastro guy does it on purpose to confuse people.
