Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well I was on a ride today and I got passed by a group of about 20 bikers (the motorcycle type) right before a stop light. As they were stopping I figured it would be a good idea to sorta get in the rear of their staggered formation because it's a hard place to turn left. Anyway one of the the bikers turned around and started laughing and said "Think you can keep up?" unable to come up with a whitty comment I just laughed and said "No, probably not." As it turns out I could only keep up for about 100 feet XD but at least he waved as he rode off.

Anything like this ever happen to you foosters?

I drafted a Ford van down a long grade at 60mph for short distance once. And I got flashed by a car load of girls once. Lots of cat calls and I`m a guy:rolleyes: whats up with that?

I had a car of girls go by me and were taking pics of me with their phone cameras. At the time I was like WTF??? Can they do that??? lol But I didnt catch them at the next set of lights so no idea what that was all about. Maybe I had done some skiddies in my knicks or something!

Edit: I have also had a Tradesman stalk me around town in his work ute cos I abused him good and proper.

When on my roadbike I got cat calls all the time on night rides. Made me wish I had some pegs on the thing :D

On a ride near Calvary, Georgia a few years ago we approached a farm house. There was a guy walking buck nekkid from the house to an out building. Our bikes were so quiet that he couldn't hear us approaching.

Yep, whenever I'm at the stop light with a group of harley riders I pull in with them and twist the bars like a throttle and go vroom vroom, always gets a laugh

I went on a long ride last weekend, and had a guy on the back of a truck give me a big smile and a thumbs up. I also had a couple of girls shout "HEY! COOL!" from their car as they drove by. Was on the road bike... Funny that I don't get the same reactions when I ride my folder :D

Last night I saw a guy on a stretcher being pushed across a pedestrian crossing. Couldn't see any emergency vehicles. Weird. I think there was a hospital nearby, but still, you don't often see people on stretchers just being pushed down the street.

:D Try - going to a funeral (good friend :() who is/was in a club (biker) and riding your bicycle out to find more than 500 bikers from around the world - a sea of black leather and clubs and ... ::warning::warning:: lone bicyclist in lycra to stage left. I turned some heads, hehe. (but the bikers around here no me so I got a few "Hey Baby's" and lots of waves ... and things returned to normal :))

I pulled up at a stop sign one day and some guy rolled down his window and challenged me to a race.
I accepted with the condition of the race being for distance and the rules...you could not stop to get more gas...had to go on what you had with you (I had lunch and 3 apples in my panniers). He laughed and drove off.
