Garmon 305 heart rate strap question

I have a heart rate monitor already will the garmon 305 pick up the signal from my other brand or must I purchase garmins strap? Thanks Scott

Knowing Garmin ... not likely.

When I went from a Forerunner 305 w/HR to the Edge 305 w/HR ... the FR 305 would not work with the E305 and vis-a versa.
So ... the chances of a non-Garmin strap working with (anything) Garmin??? Not to goood.
Give it a try ... you could be the 1 in a 10000000000000000.

No. The 305s are coded and propriety. If it does then that's just dumb luck.
