I just got the interactive one in yellow. Now I have a black one (non-interactive) and a yellow one. The Velcro strip on the band of the black one kept attaching to my arm warmers or base layer when I'd change out of my bike clothes and I'd inevitably misplace it. I'm thinking that the bright yellow will be easier to see, plus the interactive thingy is way cool. You can put all of your emergency info in it in detail.

Mark, might I be so bold as to suggest you get two for both yourself and your son. It doesn't hurt to have and I believe as a repeat customer, they give you a slight discount. The Ineractive is superior in that you can change your info as often as you like. Two years ago my insurance policy changed and since I listed my Member # on the ID, I had to replace it. With the interactive, you can just go in and change it online. The first year is free and then it's a charge after that, but I think it's less than $10/year.

Completely worth it, IMO. I figure that if I'm ever in a catastrophic crash, the info paramedics can get immediately could absolutely save my life.

EDIT: The one on my bike has no personal information except for contact numbers.

Good point. I'm asthmatic and allergic to Vicadin. I'm also an organ donor, so I want this to be on my ID or easily found info. Which, by the way, guys, if you wish to donate your organs in the even of an untimely and sudden death, you need to wear something that states this as well as register with: https://www.donatelifecalifornia.org/.

I just tried their sample interactive demo (voice). That was painful. :p Slow instructional guidances and how are people expected to remember the emergency numbers spoken out so that they can dial it themselves? After "the voice" finished speaking the few different numbers for the 1st contact person, I'm already Zzzz'ing.

Oops, I think I sounded a little harsh. I think you should demo it first. Road ID site -> "Demo Interactive" -> "Next" -> "Next" -> "Can I HEAR a sample ERP". Then dial their number to try it out. I think I'll get the standard one. :p

I'm cheap. I typed my name, city, 2 contact #s, blood type, no known allergies and organ donor in a Word file, sized the font so that it's about 3"x1" and laminated it. I carry it in my jersey in a baggie with my ID.
