Now that is pretty freakin' awesome. The power of a 20W incandescent bulb in almost any colour without the need for a battery!

Methinks these will have to sustain some regulatory scrutiny. The units for how "tough" the material is was pretty nebulous. I can see a hammer blow busting these little microshperes and rendering the stuff genuinely radioactive.

That type of radiation is blocked by human skin. But yeah, I have to wonder how they're going to counter the fears of radio-phobes and media sensationalists.
