Born and raised in So Cal.
My sister just recently traced our family tree to the Mayflower, ( yes the ship).
I didn't believe it either 'til she showed me the lineage....
There's been some very colorful folks in my past...
( not sure what this has to do with anything, but hey, here ya go..)

Born and raised in W. LA, moved out to SG Valley (Pasadena to be more specific), then moved to Northern Cal 9 years ago. Still come back to my old stomping grounds once a month, so I still have close ties.

In my book, you are a Socaler who makes occasional trips to Nocal!

Born in Tampa, been here since I was about 1 year old, that makes 49 years  a Californian. Almost native. :)

We'll let you pass.;)

I knew there was a reason I liked you, :D:Ddo you know how few Native Coloradans there are. In fact there are more immigrants from California now in Colorado, than there are natives.

Both my Mom and my brother are native Coloradans.

I missed out on being a CO native by a year or less. I was born in WA, but my parents moved to CO soon thereafter, and some yeras later moved again, to CA.

I've actually lived in CA longer than I lived in CO, but still consider CO "home".

If I ever move back though, I'll still be seen as one of those hated CA immigrants.

Except for a 9 month stint in Sheffield, England, as an exchange student, I've lived in San Diego County my entire life. First 3 years in the Serra Mesa Area, 17 years in Santee, and the past 7 in Scripps Ranch.

I'm totally native. When I went to Sheffield, I saw some people from the university greeting the exchange students at the train station. The conversation went something like:

Uni Guy A: So where are you from?
efficiency: California.
Uni Guy B: He has "the accent."

If it is passenger Myles(Miles) Standish or Richard Warren, then we may be related. If so, you have missed a whole bunch of my birthdays. I will start preparing my list.

3rd Generation native San Diegan. My great grandmother on my mother's side emigrated from Russia to the US and settled in San Diego in the 1890's. Other sides of the family arrived in the teens and twenties.

Correction: According to the more common interpretation, my immigrant Russian great grantmother would count as 1st generation, my grandmother a 2nd generation, my mother as 3rd, and me as 4th generation.

I am more nativerest than the the rest of you n00bs. Notwithstanding any California Indian BF members of course.

Yeah, but this one actually has a poll on it, so we can get a somewhat accurate idea of the percentages of 'nativity to So.Cal' on the So.Cal forum.

Incorrect.

Compared to me you are a n00b. My great-great grandmother was the second baby born in California at the end of the Santa Fe trail. I have pictures taken on Main Street in San Berdoo when there were only eight houses there. Big Bear Lake was the family homestead; it was lost in the Depression.

My family has been in S. Cal since 1912. I was born and raised in Whittier and have lived here and in more then a few other nice parts of the state. Except for 5 years when I lived in Germany, California has been my home. I can't think of too many other places that offer the choices we enjoy here.

You have no idea. After Wyoming it was to Oklahoma City........more wind, then after OKC it was to Honolulu.........tradewinds. I have never really thought about it until this thread, but now that I live in Oceanside it seems that this is the most pleasant riding I have done. May not be the most beautiful scenery I've ridden in, but for sure the least windy.

Well I was born at Murphy Memorial Hospital, which is now a bunch of condos. But I lived over in East Whittier, near La Habra, up in the hills, just below West Road if that helps any.
