I need to get some base miles in and I want to keep my distance miles up.
So tombunn and I are rolling from Encanto at 8:30 down to Seal Beach and back.

Encanto Park in Duarte. It's also the starting point for some of the BF GMR rides:

I don't, but ME, Scoot and others have ridden there from the valley and the Rose Bowl...

Was looking for something other than Big T, Angelels Crest, Montrose, Grind, to ride tommorrow but that may be too ambitious. It's about 60 round trip on the trail to the beach? I wonder how far it is from Burbank to Encanto? 50 mile round trip, too much for me. 110 total Have fun Herb.

Encanto to the beach and back is 70miles...
the rose bowl to encanto is 15ish I think...

sounds about right.....burbank to encanto can be between 20 and 25 depending

What a great ride....cold to start..but warmed up nicely..lots of riders out...
and I didn't loose anyone this time...
true it was only tom and I, but still...the past rides always lost someone...maybe the curse is broken!

short climbing rides are good, but I really need to do distance as well...
