I started working here in 1980.

I'm old.

I read "its not about the bike" like 6 months ago, then his second book. First book was aweseome, second was sub-par.
I think they chose the wrong editor. I found three words that aren't even in the dictionary and multiple typos like missing letters or spelling mistakes.

When I went to Birmingham the city was called "Lake Balboa" but ya you're right Van Nuys at some point too. Nice pictures urban.
I wonder why they didn't stick with "Lake Balboa". That's a more appealing name, and nobody wants to be associated with Van Nuys anymore. That's how North Hills came to be (and they only have one hill, which cyclists would call a speed bump)

BTW, girls now adays dont read. the ones that claim they read, read crap like "vogue magazine" and other celebrity news bullcrap. Tru story
You're hanging with the wrong girls. My wife reads books on the histories of cities and countries, pregnancy, green design and green living, politics, and any other trivia she decides would be useful or interesting. She's even been reading a little about cycling in an effort to understand me more. Celebrity news is what she reads or watches when she's bored.

Yesterday I did what I usually do. I got up at and was on the road at 4:30am and parked up in Pasadena, off Orange Grove Blvd. by 5:15. I then hiked up Grand Avenue to Colorado and from there worked my way down the stages floats taking photos and talking to all the folks hanging out. Also met up with some friends from BCI who rode over to see the floats (lots of running and cycling groups att he staging area)..... A great way to spend the first day of the year. Weather was perfect in Pasadena (although really windy in Anaheim where my friends lived).

Her dentist has Car and Driver. I didn't mind taking her to her last 2 oral surgeries. :D

I rode on Colorado blvd just before the parade started... Pretty painful with only 4 hrs of sleep.
