I have loose gear pod on my tri bike...it shifts fine but its very loose...how do I fix?

I'm guessing you mean the STI brake/gear shifter unit? In what way is it loose, and what make and model is it?

I assume it's the bar end shifter? If so, unscrew the lever and put an allen wrench inside the part that is still stuck in the bar. Turn it counterclockwise(I think) to tighten.
