Okay, I've done a few searches, and now I'm really confused! :D I'm looking for a set of clinchers to replace the Bontrager Race X Lite (700x23c) tires that came on my Trek 5200. I liked the Bontragers well enough (I literally had zero flats), but I really don't have anything to compare them to.

I want something that is light and puncture resistant. I know that these two characteristics are generally mutually exclusive, but I don't know enough about today's tire technology to even know. Price is not much of an issue.

So, what would you recommend??? ThanX!!!! :)

i love the michelin carbons, though they're not the lightest on the planet. they'll last forever, though. loads of folks in the group i rode with this summer had them, and i heard no complaints.

Vredestein Fortezza is a good choice, is a light fast tire and can handle up to 140psi if you like higher pressure tires.

For most flat resistent the Armadillo is about your best choice but has a higher rolling resistance.

Michelin Pro Race. For $35 you get an awesome tire you can train and race on.
