Does anyone have any good feedback on these frames. I'm looking at the KG461. It's $1,500 which I don't think is too terrible a price for nice upper mid-range carbon frame. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ive never heard anyone say a bad thing about a Look.
OK, I will. First of all, let me say that I have just bought a 381i and I love it alot but I wish they wouldn't put the words "LOOK" every single place possible.. I would of preferred they simply put one on the downtube like everybody else but nope, they have to put it also on the top tube, the seat tube, 4 times on the fork (HSC 4)... A little overkill if you ask me. But since the labels are clearcoated, it's not changeable and I'm not getting a new paint job... I could of got the matte black one but I did like the red/black jalabert colors....
I like the geometry a lot, it's more laid back from my steel (853) Lemond but it is real comfy and still remains stiff and responsive.
Some people complain too about a little lack of seatpost choices for 25.0mm posts... but it's kind of a minor gripe.

If you call that a complaint, may that be your worst complaint.
I picking up the KG 386 shortly!

I think taht the geometry is almost exactly the same as the lemond...at least in the larger sizes.
I think Look makes excellent bikes, one of my freinds bought one. however the only thing i have against carbon is that how fragile it is. Once tiny crack and the frame is gone, consider titanium as it will outlive you.
If I had to buy a carbon frame it would 100% be a Look frame. I have to agree with B1105 on the Ti statement though :)

My Calfee Luna has a 10 yr warranty, and the Tetra and DragonFly have a 25 yr. warranties. More importantly, the folks at CalfeeDesign have a great reputation for customer service, and for standing behind their product.
Oh yeah, the bike is really sweet!
Well, my '97 Lemond Zurich and Look are both 49cm but the STAs are different by 1.5 degrees with the Look having a more slacker STA at 72.5° while my Lemond is at 74° and the HTA is off by .5° I stlll have my stock seatpost (a Kalloy with a little setback) on the Lemond while I have a USE alien on the Look. I remember calculating the sizing difference when I bought the look and decided to go with a seatpost with less setback and it turned out to be a good move. I don't recall how the other measurements compare and the Look has those adjustable dropouts to change the wheelbase but so far, I've set mine on the shortest WB for now..

That seems a little high for the Frame and Fork only. Excel Sports in Boulder sells these retail for around 200-400 less depending on paint.

Thanks for all the feedback. I've going back an forth between Ti and Carbon. My thinking is, knowing myself, I'll want something new and better in a few years since I'm sure technology will advance frames in that time. I'm a little concerned about my weight, 265 but dropping, but I've talked to some who said it shouldn't be a problem unless I'm very abusive. I typically ride the expansive bike trails we have here in Florida, so it's not a problem. Beyond first concerns like quality and fit, appearance plays a big role too. I thnk the LOOK frames look awsome and that's important too when spending that kind of cash. For me, it's a great motivator to actually go out and bike when you have a cool ride. Thanks again.
