Road Cycling - Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow Saddle

I understand that saddles can be very personal in terms of comfort, but I just wanted to get opinions for anyone that has tried the flite gel flow. I recently got a new Madone 5.2 pro fit and have tried the stock Bontrager saddle only to find that it isn't quite as comfortable as I would like. One person that I side with seems to like his Selle Italia, but I don't want to determine my future saddle on one person that has doesn't even have the specific saddle that I'm looking at. For the record, I have a slim body type and weigh 140.

Thoughts?

Do you need the cutaway? You can try the Flite Gel Flow or the SLR Gel Flow. Don't need the cutaway? The Flite is about as comfortable a saddle as exists for someone who requires a narrow seat. I weigh just under 130. Both I and my son like Flite saddles, but I wanted one with a cutaway this year so I got (on the second try, the first try was not Selle Italia and was uncomfortable) an SLR Gel Flow. It feels a lot like a Flite but has the cutaway. BTW, I like the cutaway. I never feel pressure where I shouldn't any more. I would expect the Flite Gel Flow to be quite similar.

I have the flite gel flow but threw it on my beater bike. It's a bit heavy with all that padding and a little too wide for me. I ride a toupe 130 now.

I've got the Flite gel flow with cutout (the gel flow came both with and without) and really like it. I"ve done multiple metric centuries on it and is as comfortable as any saddle I"ve used.

I'm quite a bit larger than you but a Gel Flow with the cut-out has been my best find to date. Picked it up when Nashbar or Performance had them on sale awhile ago and am looking for another.

However, as you already know; saddles are very personal choices.

I have two; they're the most comfortable saddles I've ridden.

Use the Gel flow saddle and along with a San Marco "Aero"- are the two most comfortable saddlesI use on a road bike.

i had the prolink lite and after 50-80mi my a-- + others was numb
i switched to the smp evolution and have absolutely no numbness at all
they come in different sizes. i got one that resembled the specs to my prolink

Can anyone review the colored leather and whether or not the color bleeds onto lighter colored shorts/bibs?

I had a flite back in 2001 and thin layer of leather peeled off, etc.

I used the Bontrager RaceXLite Pro saddle for 6+ months, no problems, but thought I might like my Flight Gel-Flow on my older bike for longer rides, so I bought another. I think it's a classic saddle that fits many people very well. I don't know about narrow or light, I'm about 200 lbs, and haven't had any problems with the 2 I use.
