I'd say offhand that he's suffering from depression...poor guy.

I feel for the man.

I think he's pulling our collective legs. One of the posts, that of 12/12, was partially lifted from another blog.

Interesting.

So, why?

Poor dude. He really does sound like he's depressed.

Why do people troll? Same reason. Attention-getting.

I used to be that man but thankfully much better these last few years:) I still get these odd periods where I falter:( usually alcohol related lows

Does the offer of cheering me up still stand? I'd hate to miss an opportunity like that;)

The cheering is always available. I know, because I often falter too. Not from alcohol, for I am a non-drinker. Although hopefully I never become as isolated as Harlan in the blog link I posted.

We are always here to cheer you up (although every once in a while we do step away from the computer briefly :D ).

Thanks thats good to hear. I'm alot better now so probably won't need the cheering up after all. I had my xmas party last friday and drank enough to kill a man. Plus got dumped by a girl I was seeing the same night so all in all a night to forget. I have joined the pioneers now so I'll take care of the pennies and maybe the pounds will take care of themselves;-) Kill 2 birds with 1 stone as they say! Thanks again

Your Friday night sounds like a prescription for disaster  . It's good to know that you survived that. I never have been much of one for drinking, and I think drinking combined with the medication I'm using could very well kill me, so I don't think I'm going to start!

We're still here to cheer you up if you need it, though :p .

Breadbin, tis all for the best.....

If a gal has the terrible taste to dump a fine Irish lad like yourself, all I can say is you're well rid ;)

There's many more fish in the sea! :D

He also claims to be in IT, yet can write on his blog, "I now seem to be getting quite a few comments in what I originally assumed would be a fairly private journal."

This has to be a stunt of some kind.

He does seem quite erudite for someone who claims to have zero relationship skills.

"We've been thrown over, we're aware
But we don't care -- but we don't care!
There's fish in the sea, no doubt of it,
As good as ever came out of it,
And some day we shall get our share,
So we don't care -- so we don't care!"

That could be me. I have near-zero relationship skills. Most of the Clydesdale forum can attest to that. :-)

Fake or not, I wouldn't want to assume anything about this guy. It would be very lousy to taunt him, in case there is some issue there.
