i am looking into getting a trainer sometime soon...
i dont own an old beater bike to put on the trainer, so i will have to use my road bike for the trainer and this is where my question comes from
i know that trainer are hard on tires and b/c of that i am thinking about getting a second rear wheel to have a cheapper tire on it for the trainer (and the same cassette size as my road bike)
my question is, are all 9speed shimano cogs going to be spaced the same distance so that all i will have to do is center the wheel and i am off, no dialling the derailler and i will be off and riding
i have a mavic kysrium elite with dura ace rear derailer with a 9speed 12-23T
i would be getting something like a 105 hub (or cheaper) with a 9speed hub with 12-23T
