Next batch after I get up. A little snow treat for those of you down south and not getting any Christmas Whiteness! (Wolfpack, etc.)
I wish we would get more than 2 inches. I want to move farther north.

My feeling on snow (which I no longer believe exists) is that either none and balmy, or bury me. Oh, and after I get done playing in it - it needs to go away.
Strange as it may seem - this does exist. It is called live in the tropics and an airline ticket. :D

We're supposed to be getting 10-14 inches by the time the storm's over. At least we've got big tractors to shovel/plow us out and industrial generators to keep us running. :D
Be Prepared!

We're getting buried as well. The storm moved into South Western Ontario sometime last night. By the looks of it we have around 8" of accumulation so far, but we're just getting into the heavier snowfalls. It's absolutely gorgeous! Great to have snow for Christmas. I live in Cambridge, ON where we don't get too much added amounts from lake affect snow, however for those who do you are in for a massive amount of snowfall. My guess is that it will shut down Toronto again like it did a decade ago. Enjoy everyone. I know I will.

Thats awesome. For once I do not feel jealous. We have such a wicked blizzard going on here you can barely see across the street. I just wish I did not have to study all day, I am missing some rally nice weather.

Great pics Tom! Got to love how clean everything looks after a fresh snowfall. Tomorrow it's going to look like a brown mush ... at least on the roads.
Things are tough all across America right now weather wise. I had to contend with this ice while getting my morning paper off the front walk.

No they're not. If you didn't experience well defined, extreme seasons you'd never appreciate them individually.

I almost feel bad for people who do not get to have snow storms, or who can see their lawns in the winter. Winter is my favorite season, there is so much to do in the outdoors. Of course we like to tell southerners that it is terrible that way we have more of the land to ourselves. Winter is awesome. Days when there are wicked storms are the best to go Christmas shopping, you don't have to worry about crowds, unless you live in the eleventh province.

Come on, you live in Regina. I'm assuming you own a snowmobile or something for winter fun? It's at least a good excuse to go drinking afterwards.

Nay, no snowmobile for this guy... I think i would only buy one if i lived close to the mountains where there is awesome powder to ride in, even then they are bloody expensive and have outrageous maintenance costs.... My winter fun consists of hibernation, and a yearly trip to Banff for better winter fun.
Tom, are you up north? We didn't get it way too badly here. I can t tell how much, because it's drifted so much, but I'd guess about 7 inches.

Ahhh, okay. It looks like you guys got it worse up there than we did. :)
Been shoveling for an hour. Came in to rest up a bit and then head out for another hour. Gonna have to dig a snowbank out to get out of the driveway in the morning. I love getting up at 4 am.
I'm retiring somewhere warm. No pics, I don't own one of those new fangled cameras yet.
We are just have flurries. Lots of wind gusts up to 40mph. If it was not windy my spruce tree would have a pretty covering of snow.

lots of snow and lots of wind. We have about 6" in the yard and 8" on the driveway. It started falling about noon today and hasn't let up. No pics because it's dark here, but hopefully, it will keep it up all night and then NO SCHOOL!!!!! but knowing my luck, that's probably not going to happen. *sigh* Oh well. school isn't that bad.

I worked very hard down here and found a picture after a storm - it was a couple of days later but hopefully it gives you the impression of what it is like down here. I hope I have your sympathy...

How about an ingrown toenail? - those are painful. Probably the best you can hope for really.

Don't have any here, actually if I still have them I should post some pics off the hurricane proof building I used to work in.
Hurricane Wilma proved it was not hurricane proof in any way shape or form.

Don't they have large jungle cats that jump out at you while you slog up some CR hill on that Fred MTB of yours? That would make for an interesting thread if your surviving ride partners posted pics.
