In which mode do you like to run your tail light?
What's your favorite mode? Why?
1. On Steady High;
2. On Steady Low;
3. Slow Pulse (with light pulsing at a slow steady pace);
4. Steady Light With Strobe (light always on ultra low setting, with a high intensity strobe);
5. Strobe With Pause (5 high intensity strobes followed by pause);

Full on. Pointed straight.
I switched bikes and it was at a downward angle and I noticed the difference immediately. I stopped en route and switched the set up and it went back to driving passing cars 5 ' or even a full lane off.
I trust the Mars 3.0 for blinker.

I finally have been using my Dinotte Tail Light...you may (or may not) find the answer interesting. When I did a project at an airport, I asked the Airport Manager what the reason for the front-aimed slow pulsing lights on commercial aircraft was, in contrast to the strobe-like lights on the wings. He said that the slower pulsing lights are easier to notice and easier to distinguish an oncoming aircraft from the strobes.
That said, I think the strobe mode lights pr blinkies may sometimes get us confused with construction markers, although the high intensity of the Dinotte is really distinguishing.
steady medium
and high at intersections
B&M 4D Toplight: Steady (the only mode it has)
DiNotte 140L AA: High/Low pulse, unless it's daytime and low visibility--like heavy rain or snow. Then it's on the Uzi burst mode.

Brightest flash mode if riding solo and patterned flash mode that is not as bright when riding in a group - don't want to blind fellow riders.

No such mode. You got your high. You got your low. You got some slow pulse and you got some strobes.

Medium steady at night. 1 sec pulse during the day.

I use 2 Dinotte 140Ls in combination with my other rear lights. I run them both on 5 flash/constant low mode (option 5). Click here for video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCWWD-6tvD4)
To clarify, I think tsl meant option 4 (constant low with single flash).
Also, Nachoman, if the list is supposed to be a list of 140L modes, you forgot to include medium constant-on :)

Yup. Technically, "strobe" is a rapid cycle between on and off. What the OP refers to as option 3 comes closest, although it could be argued the the cycle time is too slow to be called strobing. In any event, you cannot "strobe" between two levels of "on", only between on and off.
