I have noticed that my rear tire wears much faster than the front. Does anyone rotate their tires as you would do on a car? It seems to make sense. Any pros or cons?

Thanks, Raiyn. That's a great thread. Shoulda thought of doing a search myself. :fight:
No I ride the rear till it's stuffed and then move ethe fronton to the rear wheel.
I always have the newest tyre on the front.
Of course you rotate. Unless you are rich and do not mind buying tires more often.
I rotate the front to the rear and the rear into the trash bin.

LMAO! :D
Rear in the trash when it's buggered, front to the rear, and a new front for me.
So when you folks rotate, do you also reverse (assuming that you don't have a "one-way-only-tread") the tire?
ThanX!
I haven't given this a lot of thought since I usually get a fatal cut in a tire before rotation is an option but... my personal preference is to not put a worn rear tire onto the front.
By the time a rear tire is considered worn there is a definite flattening of the tread. Under no circumstances do I want a squared-off tire on the front wheel.
